ANNOUNCING IC2019 COMPOSER FELLOWS!

We are excited to announce the Composer Fellows for Intimacy of Creativity 2019 — The Bright Sheng Partnership: Composers Meet Performers in Hong Kong!

 

From over 150 applications, spanning nearly 40 countries of origin, the following emerging composers have been selected for this year’s festival: Peter Dayton (United States), Keane Southard (United States), Wei Dai (China), Kai-Young Chan (Hong Kong), and Eugene Astapov (Canada).

 

They will join Artistic Director Bright Sheng and internationally acclaimed artists from our institutional partner, the Curtis Institute of Music, and throughout the world, for two weeks of intensive open discussions, rehearsals, and concerts taking place from 22 April to 5 May, 2019.

 

Congratulations to the selected Composer Fellows, and our thanks to the First Round Panel Adjudicators: David Ludwig, Ilari Kaila, and Matthew Tommasini.
